What’s a Risograph?
A RISOGRAPH is a stencil duplicator/printmaking technique that uses translucenct rice/soy based ink to produce vibrant and rich colors. Risographs are use for high volume photocopying and printing, making it very cost effective. Just like screen printing, each color is printed individually as oppose to all at once like an inkjet printer.
Turnaround Time
Order turnaround time is usually 1-3 for prints and 2-4 weeks for zines/booklets after digital proof approval. If you have a specific deadline,please intricate that in the quote form.

KJS currently charges $20 flat service fee. This included service fee includes printing, cutting/trimming ,and packaging. Zine assembly is also offered for an additional price.
Printing materials
Master per color: $3
Print per color 0.25 cents
Example
50 copies of a 2 color print
Master cost : 2 colors x $3=$6
Print per color : 50 copies x (0.25cent x2)= $25
Total before shipping cost (pricing materials+service fees)=$45.00

Orders will ship via UPS or USPS priority mail.expected them to arrived in 1-3 days
LA BASED CUSTOMERS ONLY : pick up and delivery is also an option! Just note that in the form and we can scheduled a time and date( pick up is free while delivery $2.99- $5.99 depending on location)

IMPORTANT : FILE MUST BE IN GREYSCALE AND LAYERED BY COLOR AND SAVED AS PSD.CURRENTLY KJS IS NOT ACCEPT CMYK FILE SETUP

PAPER
All inhouse paper is 8.5 x 11 in and is milled by french Paper. Paper prices are determined by weight

If you have specific paper you want to use please note that in the request form. Customers who have specific paper requests can ship it directly to KJS Or have KJS order for an additional cost.

Things To Know
Print size :Due to having a SF5120, the biggest i can print is 8.5"x11". if you would like to print bigger , I would recommend checking out other risograph printing services listed below!
Misregistration: due to each color being printed individually, misregistration should be expected. To minimize misregistration, I recommend adding Registration marks.
Smudging:The type of ink that the risograph uses is rice based and lacks a drying agent. While it gets drier over time, you So it's important to wait a couple of minutes or even an hour to print between layers, especially if you’re using darker colors or 3+ colors ! It’s also important when you receive your order, please be careful you handle the pages!
Paper conservation: For small jobs like postcards,business cards,etc, KJS highly recommends putting multiple images on one page!That way we're saving time, money, ink, and the earth!
Bleed/Trim: Allow for at least 1/4 an inch on all side of printed sheet. While a true full bleed is not available, KLS offers complimentary trimming!
